1. (a) All competitors must be financial
members of Bateau Bay Family Fishing Club Inc.
(b) A full member can only compete in "Group 4"
& cannot compete in the "Associate" competition.
(c) Any person wishing to become a member from the first
General Meeting in April will have their membership
carried over to the following year. They will be able
to attend, but have no voting rights at the following
A.G.M.
2. Boat owners must make arrangements
regarding crew & boat.
3. (a) STARTING TIME TO BE 1 HOUR BEFORE
ADVERTISED SUNRISE FOR NORMAL DAYS & NOON SATURDAY
FOR 24 HOUR DAYS. FINISH TO BE NOON SUNDAY FOR ALL OUTINGS.
ALL DAY OUTINGS TO FINISH AT 3 PM. OTHER OUTINGS FINISH
AS PER CALENDAR.
(b) 12 IN 24 HOURS FISHING-FISHING TIMES BETWEEN 12
NOON SATURDAY & 12 NOON SUNDAY. FISHING CAN COMMENCE
IN ANY PART OF THE 24 HR PERIOD, BUT MUST BE A CONTINUOUS
12 HRS UP TO THE NOON
FINISH. THIS IS CLASSED AS A 1 DAY OUTING.
4. Weigh in centre to be Bateau Bay Hotel,
or selected prior to outing.
5. (a) All catches to be divided prior
to weigh in, in separate containers per member.
(b) Fish weighed in to be measured with head not stretched
open & tail not squeezed together.
6. All fish, excluding rule 7, must be
presented to weigh master, gilled, gutted and roed.
No mutilated fish will be accepted.
7. Striped tuna & bonito will be accepted
whole as will Garfish.
8. Any ineligible fish in type or length
will disqualify a competitors entire catch on the day.
9. Record fish mat be weighed in separately
for the year record only on outing days.
10. Trolling to be allowed.
11. Any competitor not complying with
these requirements will be DISQUALIFIED.
12. Only four rods or lines may be used
per angler.
13. Each fisherman competing in an outing
receives 20 points. All competitors inside and outside
to receive points as per
species list, amended 2005.
14. (a) BOAT POINTS…. Only the best
two catches of each boat to weigh in for boat points.
(b) 1st - 20 points. 2nd - 15 points. 3rd - 10 points.
4th - 5 points
(c) Inside to own separate competition.. Points 21,
15, 10; 5. Individual score to be called Rock Points.
(d) Boat crew you start with is your member for the
complete outing. You cannot change.
(e) Nominated inside fisherman are allowed to fish outside
as well as inside but only fish caught inside are eligible
for rock points.
15. Any fisherman can fish for boat points.
Winners of each outing to be handicapped 200 points.
16. ALL BOATS MUST LOG IN WITH GOSFORD
OR TERRIGAL COASTAL PATROL AFTER 6 AM ON CHANNEL 88
& CALL OFF WHEN RETURNING.
17. Normal call for Club Members on channel
86, change to channel 96 for chats.
18. New members must attend one meeting
before being eligible to score points.
19. The set boundary between Brisbane
Water & the Tasman Sea has been set from Barrenjoey
to Box Head.
20. Members who wish to participate in
Club funded trips away, must fish at least 3 outings
prior to be eligible.
Special case will be dealt with by the committee.
21. Members who do not physically participate
in the Clubs activities, eg. Fishing Outings, Monthly
Meetings, Raffles, BBQ's will have their membership
reviewed.
22. The use of any crab traps or nets
is banned.
23. Fresh water fish may be weighed in
a 1 point per fish and 20 points per kilo bag limits
as NSW Fisheries current Rule 3.
24. The Club will use Erina F.C. rules
for Interclub Outings only.
25. (a) Any fish foreign to our waters
may be weighed in at 10 points per fish, 10 points per
kilo. CONSULT weigh master or Club captain verify that
fish can be weighed in.
(b) Inside fish receive 20 points per kilo.
26. Definition of Member in these Rules
will be deemed as "Full Member" & "Associate
Member" unless outline otherwise.
GROUP 1 - CHILDRENS' COMPETITION.
This group consists of children under
the age of 10 years at the first Junior outing as listed
on calendar. This group to fish to the existing rules,
but fisheries sizes, can be assisted to whatever degree
the supervisory adults thinks fit.
GROUP 2 - JUNIOR COMPETITION.
This group consist of Juniors over the
age of 10 years, but below the age of 16 years at the
1st Junior outing as listed on the calendar, plus ladies.
This group to fish to existing senior fishing rules
except adult help can be given where size of fish, sea
conditions or potentially dangerous situations arise.
Juniors can weigh in club records.
GROUP 3 - ASSOCIATE MEMBERS COMPETITION
This group consists of Members 16 years
and over at the first Outing on the calendar. It shall
be known as "LADIES" outings on the calendar.
GROUP 4 - FULL MEMBERS
This group consists of members who
have paid full membership fee and are over the age of
16 years and competing in the open competition as per
the calendar.
